- Come Discover with us! Home school students of all ages from the Athens area have been working hard to learn across disciplines. This event invites kids of any grade level to submit projects from across the spectrum of STEM+R (science, technology, engineering, mathematics and research/history). Every student/group that signs up to present a project will receive a tri-fold board to use for displaying their work (the $5 fee covers this cost). The event hopes to encourage both solo and group projects. Even something you did in a co-op class can be used at this project fair, as long as it fits into one or more of the STEM+R categories. Formal presentation of your project is not necessary! Use of the scientific method is encouraged, but not required. Projects at the event will be on view for the community to discover and explore during the 2 hour window. This is just a more formal venue and opportunity for all students to encourage other kids and families to collaborate and share their STEM+R learning projects with one another. Each project submitted will receive a certificate of acknowledgement of participation that also commends something unique about their work along with a ribbon.

- The public is invited to attend the fair! Whether or not you have a student with a project on display, families are welcome to browse the projects and explore our other resource tables. Last year's fair included more than 25 student projects PLUS the following resources/learning stations with hands-on activities:
